Random Update
So it’s the first thing in the morning after I spent half the night drunk/unconscious off Yuengling lager. Seeing as our living situation has escalated into the extreme we’ve had to move into a hotel for a few days, of course we’ve made a new friend who is also having to live out of the same hotel so we’re just going to split a room with her for a few days so it doesn’t cost any of us nearly as much money.
For anyone wondering, things have been absolutely great on the relationship front as well as the ‘return to school’. I couldn’t ask for a more open, friendly, fun relationship. Apparently a lot of people we know have been wishing they could have a relationship like ours. It took about five different people commenting before I finally realized it myself.
So for now, I’m proud to say everything is on the up and up for the majority, I have a wonderful relationship with someone who has become one of my best friends, and I’ve made a slew of new and good friends since the move. All positives! :)
The New Korn Album
Was one of my birthday presents, I went out and spent the money on the CD and I’m very happy for it. Naturally several of my friends guffawed about it and told me to get something else, but I couldn’t help getting the Korn album (The Path of Totality).
Why?
Because even though most people gave up on the band after Head decided to leave I couldn’t give up entirely. Like most hardcore fans, I kept giving them time to pick up all the pieces. I’m very glad I did as well.
I didn’t give up because I know that Johnathon Davis is an amazing vocalist, songwriter, and composer. Evidence of this? The Queen of the Damned Soundtrack, which he wrote and performed for the movie but gave the songs to various signers from various groups. Many people who heard the music from the movie loved it instantaneously, but few knew the master behind it. I couldn’t give up on one of my first metal bands because one member left, I just couldn’t.
With the new album, The Path of Totality, Korn took their old school metal sound and threw it into a blender with some top of the line Dubstep artists, hit blitz a few times and out it came. As good as the albums they released when Head was still part of the group but new and different.
I’m happy with the money I put into supporting the group again, let’s hope they can keep it up.
Update Time!!!
For all my followers that have stuck around,
I finally have internet access with a computer again, it’s a bit dodgy connection wise, but it will at least give me something to do and my tumblr here won’t be so very very empty. There have been several changes since my last update, so this may happen to become very long.
As you all know in September I was kicked out of where I was living and had to move in with my boyfriend. At the end of October we were kicked out of the room we were renting because the roommates decided to be rather racist and stupidly decided to pick a fight with D. Our landlord, who likes us, simply moved us into another house he owns down the street. This house has thankfully been so much better, as even though we have twice as many roommates, we all get along just fine, or did.
As of November one of our roommates let her friend move in on a verbal agreement, said friend took it upon herself to decide that she wasn’t going to pay her share of the rent or utilities and that she also wasn’t going to clean anything but her own room. For two months now she’s done this and now our landlord has taken action and is evicting everyone but D and myself. The bad part about this situation is that he is going to rent out the entire upstairs to people we don’t know and have no idea if we’ll be able to stay here. The only reason this is, is because neither of us are the best at being told what we can and can’t do, especially when we’ve lived here for nearly three months and are used to the way it’s been running thus far.
Another fun update is that my family is now trying to find a way to put me in jail, completely disregarding the fact that I’m in school again, taking any job I can for what little money I can, and trying desperately to do what I can for my children since their biological father is about to up and disappear into another state in an attempt to avoid his behind child support payments.
Let’s see now… Oh, I finally had my twenty-second birthday and the story that goes along with it is quite interesting but not something I’m going to post on this particular blog. It’s also New Year’s Eve tonight, so Happy New Year’s everyone.
I suppose that’s all for now, hopefully my internet access won’t go again, or if it does it’s only because I’m moving and getting a better connection.
Interesting excerpt from The Darwin Awards Volume II - Unnatural Selection
URBAN LEGEND: BREWERY MISHAP May 2000, Australia
My great-uncle worked at a brewery in Melbourne around the turn of the century. Whilst inspecting one of the tanks, he lost his footing and fell headlong into the vat. This is more dangerous than it sounds. Beer contains ethanol, which has a lower density than water. He was unable to swim to the surface, and drowned before rescuers could assist him. The worst thing about it, they say, is that the entire batch of beer had to be thrown out with him. Quite true. (Another cautionary legend: Frog Giggin’ Accident, page 204)
“Is it possible to drown in beer? Of course it’s ‘possible’ to drown in a saucer of water, therefore it’s technically possible to drown in a vat of beer. But do the physical properties of beer make it more likely. “Ethanol has a specific gravity less than water, which means you would not float as readily, if at all. But some say that beer, which is only a few percent alcohol, has a specific gravity greater than water. During the fermentation, specific gravity changes as sugar is converted to alcohol, but solutes such as carbohydrates are always present to increase the liquid’s density. In that case you would be more buoyant in beer. “Then again, carbon dixode bubbles might ‘lower’ its specific gravity. “Certain brews might be so viscous that it would be as tiring as swimming in quicksand. “And would a reduced surface tension have any effect? “Do breweries really contain open vats of beer? “It has been suggested that carbon dioxide given off by the yeast in the fermenting liquor might settle on top of the vat, suffocating the hapless swimmer. The gas might even be retained in the beer tank’s thick layer of foam. CO2 is heavier than air and has been observed to accumulate in the still air of ancient caves and lakes whose “burps” kill entire towns. “You can perform a CO2 experiment yourself. Collect the fumes from a burning match in a small bowl held below the flame. Then “dunk” the match in the invisible gas, or pour it over a lit candle, to extinguish the flame. “Whether or not you believe this story is possible, there are worse ways to die than drowning in a huge vat of booze. (Mull over the science behind the Brewery Mishap. www.DarwinAwards.com/book/brewery.html)”
Gravity: More than a good idea-it’s the law!

D: Something is wrong and its not your fault?!Jin: I know, I'm scared too... Now gimme some tacos!
D: No, bad tacos! Tacos are bad! We need burritos!!!
Just thought I’d toss a new picture for an update. My hair’s long enough to brush and straighten now and it still does cool bedhead tricks. We moved again as you can see from the different background. Should be more updates in the future, likely all in pictures until we get internet here. Hope all my lovely followers are doing great! Toodles!!!
